You may have heard of Smart repair but what is it and how does it differ from a traditional body or paint traditional repair?
To start, SMART repair is an acronym and means Small to Medium Area Repair Techniques. By using special tools, materials and often utilising the bodylines of your car, some forms of damage can be fixed by keeping the repaired area as small as possible without the need to paint full panels, which for the customer, means a saving on labour & materials and a significantly faster service.
Smart repairs include:
- Paintless dent repair
- Bumper scuffs
- Scuffed Alloy wheels
- Interior repairs to seats & trims etc
- Stone chip repairs
Smart repairs are especially useful if you are considering selling your car and while a few small areas of damage may not devalue your car too much it does offer any prospective buyer the opportunity to haggle on your valuation.
Where smart repair is not possible or appropriate, we can, of course, carry out a traditional repair which is one of the reasons we operate from our workshop in Broadleys Business Park, Stirling and not under a gazebo on your drive.
